Low down, dirty, sleazy Blues Rock

What a great month...

September has been a good month for us, how about yourself ?

Pretty busy all over the place, lots happening so lets dive straight in and see where we end up eh.....

Well we played @ Slouch in Glasgow, cracking venue, would highly recommend playing or watching to anyone taking interest out there. Great sound in the place, which we headlined after Missing Focus & Matt Scott played. Look forward to going back sometime.

After that the Dixie Fried wagon train rolled into Shotts to play alongside some great hosts in the shape of 102 Miles. Truly great bunch of lads whose own material is top notch (great to see Willie give it 'some wellie' with some wicked guitar solo's), but also play some amazing versions of some classic covers. Loved the Johnny Cash rocked up tunes. Again we will be back up there again soon.

We hitched up the wagon, battened down the hatches for a couple of gigs up in the Kingdom of Fife. Some great gigs and met some people who are doing their own thing in the Scottish music scene, honestly very surprised about how healthy the talent is out there. Muchos love to Homesick Aldo, The Delta Grit & Al Shields when we played with them at The Greenside, Leslie & Legends in Anstruther over the one weekend. Homesick Aldo is a one man blues explosion on his harmonica, gotts check him out. The Delta Grit are a great bunch whose music is fantastic (we will defo be playing more gigs with these guys real soon, watch this space...), and Al Shields is from Edinburgh but if he you only heard him sing you would swear he was from the Nashville area of the World.

On top of criss crossing the Central Belt, we found time to rehearse some new tunes, finish one and add it into a few shows. The truly amazing thing was when we played the new tune (called One Night In Vegas) people seemed to really dig, shock horror we even had some people cutting some rug to it.

Next up for us is a charity night this Saturday in the Regal Bathgate, only £5 for lots of live music. Then next Tuesday we are at Whistlebinkies Edinburgh at 10pm if you are around we would love to say hello to anyone that comes along.

We are going to concentrate a bit more on finishing the new songs over the next fews weeks/month.

Keep it Dixie y'all and thanks for all your support.
