Thought better do a wee check in, it has been too long all my fault, sorry.

First off don't know if you were able lucky enough to catch the North Mississippi Allstars gig in Edinburgh last month, if you did WHAT A GIG !!! Loved every second of it, and to be honest Voodoo Rooms has go to be one of the best small venues in Edinburgh. Almost 2 hours of great music to a very appreciative audience, fantastic.

Also got to speak to both brothers (and the bassist they picked up down south) after the gig, and gave them one of our albums. Which they both realised the significance of our name to their family. Both brothers seemed very touched by our tribute, which made our day. RIP Jim Dickinson

Anyway back to things Dixie Fried, since our last gig we have been concentrating hard on having some new tunes ready to record and add to our next set (if we feel they are ready). We have 2 sounding fantastic and very proud of where they are at right now.

So we gave our new set a trial run last night, and gotta say very excited about it..all new, new start, new ending, and all the tunes in between are all almost brand new. Don't get me wrong we may still chop and change things on stage (as we always have, it feels good to play tunes that feel right for that moment in time). 

The gig in a few weeks (Sun 2nd Sep) time at The Ferry Glasgow, there is going to be a fair few surprises for those that have seen us before.

Almost all the complimentary tickets are gone, but if you need any I can get more, so please just get in touch. And for those already said you are coming your tickets are reserved.
