New gig

Very pleased to announce we are supporting UK touring band BROKEN HANDS, along with Paisley based band Black Jack.  

Tuesday 24th September at The Art School, Glasgow at 8pm

Tickets are available on ticketmaster for £6 plus booking fee plus postage. 

However, from our own store we have a very limited number of cheaper tickets available to see 3 cracking bands. £4 per ticket plus £1 postage

Happy hump day

Hello world and welcome to the middle of the working week, not long until the weekend will be here to grab you by the shoulders and make you smile once more. 

We are only 2 days away from our first gig in August, and we are chomping at the bit to get the next round of gigs on the go. Please keep checking our events page for updates as there is more dates being added very frequently just now (another before end of the week).

This Friday we are very glad to have the chance to play again at The Twa Tams in Perth before it is temporarily closed for major internal refurbishment (bigger live music area by moving the bar is what I am hearing). This time round we are being joined by Glasgow's outstanding band of the moment Dirty Diamond & The Gunslinger. As always at the Tam's absolutely 100% FREE ENTRY to all.

This is the first of 2 gigs this month we are playing with Dirty Diamond & The Gunslingers, the next being at our gig in Broadcast, Glasgow on Friday 30th August. Also that night Matt Scott will be joining us to open the night up, and if coming please ensure you get your ticket ASAP as there is a major announcement about to happen regarding that show that will sell out any remaining tickets very quickly. And with entry fee only at the price of a drink (£4) then what is stopping you.

The first day after your world became one...

So here we are just one day after the world became a better place....

1. third world hunger ceased to exist
2. nuclear weapons turned out to be filled with laughing gas
3. politicians on every continent hugged each other and said let's try and all work together
4. poverty became a thing of the past when money became abolished
5. the scientists of every country united in the goal to make space & time travel possible
6. people the world over found themselves laughing at discrimination of all kinds, when it was established at long last we are all the same, but ever so slightly different, yet we all liked that
7. and of course you got your hands on your digital copy of the brand new Dixie Fried album 'A Ways To Go' which makes the previous 6 statements pale into insignificance, obviously. 

Now, you guys have had the chance to stream the album in full or purchase a physical copy from our own bandcamp page, for around 4 weeks...but the rest of the world were only given the chance yesterday when the album went live in all territories in all digital shops.

Some of the shops are iTunes, Amazon, Spotify, 7Digital, Rhapsody, deezer, simfy and many many others that we simply don't have all the links for (but if you click on any of those names it should take you direct) , if you find on any other digital store could you please send us a link.

If you do have the chance it would be a great help to ourselves if you could do a wee review of the album on any of the above sites, it really does help new comers take a punt on giving our music at least a fighting chance. 

CANNOT WAIT....

This weekend we are back to The Twa Tam's in Perth, back gigging and in one of the best small venues in Scotland, and we are one of the last nights before it goes under a major refurbishment.
