What a pleasure it was to share the stage at The Ferry with some downright cracking acts, and do hope we catch them all again sometime soon.
Alan Nimmo kicked everything off, what a voice just superb. Not too many folk out there can do a Paul Rogers cover and make it sound so special, hats off sir.
Lynsey Dolan Band were total pro's, start to finish polished with an edge loved it.
Deadly Viper Guitar Squad is not something you forget too quickly. Not often you see someone play slide on a bass guitar, then swap instruments and do a few numbers with a Theremin. With a Alex Harvey inspired front man, hard to forget.
After ourselves came Dirty Diamond & The Gunslingers to finish the night off. Totally not what we expected, as 5 guys clambered on stage with the suits on we thought a bit of blues jazz coming here, but wow were we ever wrong. Amazing band, with a front man who has one of the best voices around just now. These guys are the business to us and we cannot recommend them any more highly, outstanding.
All in all a great day. Fantastic music where it was great to finally meet some people we have been chatting to for a long time, also meet some old friends, and make some new one's. Our brand new set seemed to go down very well (certainly well received), we only played 3 songs from first album and aired 2 songs for the very first time Old Lady & Too Weird To Live, Too Rare To Die which right now are my favourite to play.
Next gig Twa Tams in Perth, and they better watch out as we have a single decker bus coming with us ha ha ha Looking forward to playing with Shoogar & Homesick Aldo.
But first things first tomorrow night we go and enjoy a gig at ABC Glasgow with Justin Townes Earle giving us a night of americana, happy days.
Keep it Dixie y'all
