Hello you lovely people,
What can I say, but its good to be back…we haven’t really gone away, but taking a small break from playing live gave us more time to focus on new tunes and glad to say we are very excited about what we have achieved, so far…
Anyway, more exciting news very soon but the reason for reaching out to you all now is something we are over the moon to be involved with.
SATURDAY 16th FEBRUARY we are supporting the Grammy nominated Cedric Burnside playing at McChuills in Glasgow
Also on the bill is Glasgow band Hicks
Now an artist in his own right, emerging from the huge shadow of his drum kit where he sat for his “Big Daddy” grandfather RL Burnside. His first album with Lightnin Malcolm as part of the 2 Man Wrecking Crew was a statement of where he was going. 10 years later as a Grammy nominated artist for last years album Benton County Relic. Played at the 2018 Edinburgh Blues Festival (as did Dixie Fried).
If you know anything about Dixie Fried as a band, then RL Burnside has had a MASSIVE influence on where we come from style wise. Hill Country Blues music is our foundation, and where we build all our tunes from. In fact the album Burnside on Burnside still remains as one of our very favourite live albums.

Tomorrow night at Stereo in Glasgow we are taking to the stage with 2 other fantastic bands (we don't play with mediocre acts), Al Shields & The Delahayes and Black Cat Bone.
We cannot wait for this gig, please if you are free on the start of this AUGUST BANK HOLIDAY WEEKEND, then do yourself a favour and get along early, you can thank me there. It would be rude of yourself not to go
Anyway, doors open at 7pm and its a early start of 715pm so we can squeeze 3 high quality sets to you lovely people of Glasgow.
Its an early start, so sadly and early finish, but that will mean all public transport can be used to get home afterwards. And as the venue is right next to Central Station then everywhere is accessible (no excuses ha ha ha)
Very excited to announce we will be sharing the stage with two other bands who also played Rabbie's Tavern at Eden Festival back in early June. Alongside Al Shields And The Delahayes, and Black Cat Bone there will be a music takeover happening in Stereo on FRIDAY 24th AUGUST
There are tickets available online, and some will be available on the door
