Keep it Dixie in 2015

December and 2015

It seems I seem to be saying more and more positive, as we find more and more things to be thankful for. This month again we are not disappointed yet again.

First of all, we finished off November by supporting Marcus Bonfanti at King Tuts, Glasgow. Unfortunately Manky Savage had to pull out at the last moment, but that then gave us the opportunity as the only support to have a slightly longer set. Firstly we had a ball, and every member of Marcus' team were a joy, and a better bunch of people you would struggle to find in the music business. Our pleasure to be involved in what turned out to be a great night. There is a small selection of images on our facebook page, all taken by Billy (aka The KiltedWan) and can be found by clicking HERE

Next, we were invited along to play at Penfold's annual Christmas bash in their local at Mid Calder. What a cracking night, no wonder it is so popular with 4 great local acts on. Looking forward to attending next year, even if it is just to enjoy.

We have announced a Scottish mini tour for March 2015, with all the details available on our events page. We are busy confirming all the other acts on each night just now and will be announcing each with full details on each as soon as we can.

On top of that we are working on another 2 new tunes, one almost completed and the second got a real 'feel' that there could be something pretty special in there. We are finding more time to just jam again, and boy does it feel good. There simply is nothing quite like picking out either a guitar riff or a drum lick, then bouncing idea's off each other to see which avenue of music we find ourselves travelling. There has been a right 60's bluesy feel coming back from those jams. We shall see where they take us over the next few weeks.

It is almost time to sign off for this amazing year in music, we cannot wait to start kicking off 2015 with more positive vibrations, where hopefully we meet many more new friends to join our merry band of music lovers. Thank you all for spreading our good word this year. Our internet traffic has more than doubled on each social media site and our new look website seems to have certainly went down a treat with much more people contacting us with great suggestions of even more improvements (cheers guys).

Thank you all, be safe this festive period, and we hope to see you all in 2015
