My year of 'new' music - 2011
Decided I would have a look back at all the 'new' music I got a hold of this year, and do a wee best of list...letting you see what I have been listening to and influencing how I like to play music this year during our jam sessions in our rehearsal space. These jams are how our songs evolve into finished tracks.
I believe our music is a product of all the amazing music we immerse ourselves in continually throughout the year. As a band we like similar style's but there are always things that one of us like's as opposed to the other.
Would love to hear some new recommendations from your good self, who knows your help may influence a new direction in style for Dixie Fried.

The one big surprise (not too big really I suppose) is that not one of those 10 records are made by British artists. I am proud to come from the UK, with the great musical heritage over this side of the pond, but to not even have one artist is a little disappointing for me as well. I see loads of great (and I do mean great) British bands at loads of gigs, and many many amazing supports, but still I feel couldn't get fit them into my top 10 of this years purchases. Some of the above links came out a few years ago, but only came into my hands this year.
I would love to hear your own top 10, as I love to listen to new music
Keep it Dixie y'all
You may have noticed one album I should have added from this year, but that just wouldn't be right to add our own cd to the list, but if you want a link to be able to buy download from amazon, here you go http://www.amazon.co.uk/Dixie-Fried/dp/B004VR6WE6/ref=sr_shvl_album_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1323254188&sr=301-1
However, I would say go to our bandcamp page, where you can order the physical cd or better download to any format you wish http://dixiefried.bandcamp.com/
