Happy New Year to one and all

After a quiet festive period (we had one week off ha ha) we got back into it big time last week. 

Starting off with a few jams to get the bones moving again then concentrated more and more on new material. We found ourselves changing up the way we were playing our latest tune with a new perspective - for a new year - it has re-energised the vibe of the tune, very happy. Lyrics were added at this weeks practise, alongwith a confirmed structure, very happy indeed. Just a few hundred times playing it inside and out, and we will have another potential track for the next record.

Talking of records, we are in talks to have a limited edition vinyl verison of last year's album. If interested please get in contact very soon, as we have a lot of interest in this format over the last 8 months or so. Will be VERY LIMITED, and we may throw in a couple of exclusive items as well.

All this talk of the last record got us quite excited last night so in the next few weeks we are aiming to be booking some more studio time to get these 4 or 5 new songs recorded, so we can decide if they make the cut or not.

If you missed it the details are right here http://www.dixiefried.co.uk/shows/ There will be 2 other bands from the same space all playing (and a wee surprise or two on the night itself), along with ourselves. What I can say is we will be playing at least 2 new songs that, possibly 3 if the new one polishes up over the next few weeks.
