Eden this weekend

To put into words is very hard about how we feel about this festival, it really does feel like a big co-operative working together, so it is like one big family. Check out this video from behind the scenes

We first experienced playing there in 2016, when we played Rabbies Tavern (THE BEST POP-UP PUB IN THE LAND). There were so many other bands that we have played with over the previous couple of years, and others that we have played with since, all playing in the Tavern. Brilliant stuff.

2018 is the 10th anniversary of Eden going solo as a festival, as it was previously just an area within the fantastic and missed Wickerman Festival. So this year, the shouts went out from the organisers on who to ask back from previous years. It was a great honour to be asked back this special year, AND we get to OPEN the stage on Friday, kicking it all off (after Thursday night) at NOON ON FRIDAY .

Looking down the line-up and there is even more friends playing than previously, it is very exciting to be able to set the tone and getting everyone grooving from the get go.

What is also great news is the weather, it is looking very very promising with 18-22 degrees forecast and a little breeze (that should keep the midgies away...bliss)

Bring it on, cannot wait

2018...

wow, just wow...

What a December we had, our vinyl arrived early from manufacturers and as we had a lot of pre-sale orders already sitting with us, we took the decision to get it sent immediately during the month. So glad we took that option as the feedback has blown us away, thank you all, very humbling.

We also then agreed with several independent record shops of stocking the vinyl, and can be bought in Ayr, Kilmarnock, Glasgow & Edinburgh. We need to get back to Ayrshire to play soon, as we have already had to re-stock down there twice, thank you all.

We are immensely proud of this whole project, and believing we put together a great product and a t a very reasonable price. It is the highest quality vinyl money can buy, great design, a great booklet / lyric sheet and a free download...and...on top of all that we have created 8 bloody good tunes to make it all the best we could. The feedback and messages have only re-enforced our already Trump-like claims. It is very humbling to know that so many of you all have supported us thus far and most of all digging the music we are putting out, thank you, every one.

Inverness, that city and whole area never fails to bring a huge smile to our faces, what a place. We broke our normal hibernation to play during December and played on the 16th at Mad Hatters. It really was a thank you to everyone who came to see us at Belladrum and Jocktoberfest during the summer which also blew us away. We did not expect how great a night we would have in December, just wow.

Well Inverness, as a thank you for December we are coming back...VERY SOON

Saturday 17th February, lets do it all again, same place, same times...bring a friend, but if anything like last time get in early as it will be another party atmosphere (details will be on our event page ASAP).

On Sunburst And Thump - NEW ALBUM !!!

Well this is it, the day has finally arrived where we can shout from the rooftops all about our new album. To say we are a little excited about this is just massively understated, we love this album and every little facet that goes with it.

Hello world...

We have been out of the public eye this first six months of 2017, only making one rare appearance in April supporting the outstanding Black Cat Bone at the Liquid Rooms. Was a genuine honour to play to a packed room in the beautiful Voodoo Rooms yet again (becoming a habit). If you are available on Friday 23rd June then get along to see their first show at King Tuts Glasgow, you will not be disappointed.

So back to us, we have been publicly quiet but seriously very busy back in the Dixie Fried Cave planning World domination for when our third album is released in just a few months time. Cannot say too much about it just now, as we really want to ensure this wall of sound knocks you off your feet, but I can say that it will be finished this weekend with the last mixing session fast approaching. It is our biggest album to date, with a lot of care and attention going into every detail that we aim to deliver to you, on every level.

In the meantime a few shows, we have announced we are absolutely honoured to be returning for THE THIRD YEAR IN A ROW to Jocktoberfest the first weekend in September. It is one festival that feels so very special to us - as it was the first time we ever had a 6'3" man dressed as a pink flamingo, crowd surfing, while being fully Dixie Fried - good times. And at only £35 a ticket it is a total bargain.

We have more festivals to announce, but waiting for festival to announce full line up before we can do the same...

We are playing a very special local gig on Friday 28th July at our favourite Dreadnought in Bathgate, with the top dollar Palmiros and a joint acoustic gig between our good friends Gary Burns & Ewan Butler.

We can now also announce we will be playing at this years ALMOST BLUE festival in Dundee. We will be playing 7pm in Liquid Envy on South Ward Road. So, all you good people in Tayside will be first to hear a lot of new tracks from the new album as well as some thumping rhythmic blues to kick start the weekend.
