It is with huge regret that we have had to pull out of the three live shows we were due to play this weekend at Dundee's Almost Blues festival.
Unfortunately personal circumstances have made it impossible for us to return to one of our favourite cities at this time. We are absolutely gutted about this, but please be assured of it was in any way possible for us to play, we would have.
We are going to be actively looking to play Dundee very soon, and will keep you updated asap. Again, our sincere apologies to anyone who was coming to see us
It is our great pleasure to be able to announce we are playing THREE SETS this year over the last weekend in June / early July in one of our most favourite cities, Dundee.
We will be an intimate set at The Pillars bar on Saturday afternoon, followed by two more sets at Malmaison Mezzanine Bar, one Saturday evening and one Sunday afternoon.
As always every act and venue is 100% FREE ENTRY, which only adds to the always relaxed friendly atmosphere. people can wander in and around all the different venues that can be walked to all within 10 minutes (usually only 2 or 3 minutes to the next one). I would urge anyone free that weekend who loves music to get to Dundee and have a great time.
There are more details of each set on our events page, and if we receive any more information about any of them, it will be posted within each event.

We will have some very limited CD's with us of our new album, and the fast running out vinyl of the new album as well.
See you all real soon
So far we have had a good month, how about yourself ?
We got to play a wee gig for a good mate in Dundee in a cracking boozer, met a truly awesome 3 piece band from Aberdeen, began planning Autumn tour with some very special people, announced to headline a night during King Tuts Summer Nights Festival and announced to be playing again at Jocktoberfest the first weekend in September...yeah as months go, not too shabby at all.
As you can see, what a line up throughout the whole run, but for me our night is something that really whets my appetite. It is the show that just screams 'GIG AND A HALF'..even if we weren't playing I would be paying good money to be going. For a bit of a favour we are offering an even better price of ticket for our night than you will find anywhere else. FOR ONLY FIVE POUNDS you can get access to the whole night (instead of the ticket priced of SEVEN POUNDS). These e-tickets are available right now from HERE, or will be available from a shop in Glasgow in the physical form in the very near future.
Oh and if travelling through from West Lothian we already have a bus almost filled up, but can easily sort more if required. Book your ticket through us and get a very cheap bus return on the night itself.
Jocktoberfest....what can we say...we attended it last year and was blown away. The location, the atmosphere, the music, the food, the vibes every factor needed to make a great festival were all boxes ticked with a HUGE BIG MARK. So to be asked to come back again after our storming set that closed the second stage last year, was an absolute honour. After going on about how much we loved it last year, we already know of a good number travelling up for this year...but don't dither for tickets...at £35 for the WHOLE WEEKEND it is the bargain of the festival season. Once the tickets are gone, that is it.
Great line up yet again, honestly worth it...do not leave it too long before deciding to get a ticket
More news coming very, very soon.
....since we last conversed ?
As the picture shows, we are ashamed, and beg for your forgiveness
Now that is out the way, lets get caught up ? How's things your side ? Hopefully still enjoying life as much as you possibly can ? We will catch up more and more during this year, it is a promise. Here is a wee snippet of what we have been doing
So since the previous blog, we played 3 amazing shows in October (Bathgate, Inverness & King Tuts, Glasgow) that really book marked our amazing 2015 quite beautifully. The last gig at King Tuts blew our minds and crowd was certainly the best we have played to in there My Baby and The River, along with ourselves shook the foundations and got the old girl boogeying more than she had for a while - still heard her creaking as we were packing up ha ha
From then, we have dedicated ourselves to our studio and ensuring that relationship turned into a very fruitful experience. Very happy to say we now have 5 brand new tracks demo-ed and ready to hit the recording for next album. We also are on such a creative burst just now the rest of the album is writing itself, with more and more tracks pouring out almost every week. We have threatened to use our own recording facility for a couple of years and now can say we have turned into studio junkies...very, very addictive. We are aiming to have these first batch recorded during next 2 months at studio of our choice with top class engineer twindling the knobs (oo-er misses).
So, to try and wean ourselves out of the studio we are pleased to say we have TWO gigs we can announce
- Saturday 14th May - Cerberus, Bell St, Dundee DD1 1HF
- Saturday 4th June - Dreadnought, 14-16 King St, Bathgate EH48 1AX
Both of these gigs will be a huge blast to play. Dundee, we just love and has always been up for every gig we have ever played. Bit of a smaller venue, however we could not turn down the offer from a good friend to come and play for him, WE CANNOT WAIT.
Bathgate, is going to be a VERY BUSY NIGHT. That date is Bathgate Galaday, and if anything like our last couple of gigs it will be a frigging belter of a night.
Supports for both gig will be announced over next couple of weeks, and more details for each to come as well all of which will be on our events page.
Also, unfortunately we have had to delay our BIG NEWS until Monday, but believe me when I say it will be worth the wait.
Thank you for staying with us on social media (facebook & twitter) over the past few barren months on the interweb, promise we have so much more to be sharing with you this year...going to be another HUGE ONE.
Oh, and if anyone is in Glasgow tonight at ABC, come say hello as we all get down with a truly special cat, Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats
Keep it Dixie y'all
